Magalloway River
Report
|
|
The Magalloway River is a major river feeding the Lake Umbagog system.
The River is both a Whitewater Rafting river and a Gentle Canoeing river in its lowest reaches.
It makes up a substantial part of the Umbagog Lake National Wildlife Refuge.
Due to the recent settlement agreement there are major whitewater releases in June and august when
Whitewater Rafting trips are conducted. See Maine Whitewater Rafting.
The lower part of the river from Wilson's Mills to Lake Umbagog is scenic and makes for
excellent flat-water canoeing trips. See Umbagog Lake Canoeing.
